Daniher’s Drive raises a record $2.5 million for MND research

NEALE Daniher’s latest Fighting event hit a $2.5 million record fundraising milestone in Geelong, Victoria yesterday.

FightMND chief executive Jamie Howden revealed the record 2018 fundraising tally of more than $2.5 million at a breakfast at The Pier, bringing the event’s total tally to $7.5 million since it’s 2015 launch.

Rippleside’s Amelia Hartnett was one driver who took part, revealing she’s already planning ahead for the 2019 event.

“It was an awesome four days, lots of different community events along the way that we all participated in,” Ms Hartnett said. “All the country towns came out and supported us in force, there were lots of people with banners and school kids came down to see us, so it was lots of fun.”

FightMND contributes 95 per cent of funds to help find a cure for MND, and to raise awareness of the condition. The remainder of funds are used on administration costs.
