Audi Foundation celebrates its fifth year of supporting progressive charities to drive meaningful change

The RUOK? Conversation Convoy is powered by Audi.

The Audi Foundation, a corporate philanthropic foundation set up by Audi Australia and the Audi Australia Dealer Network, is marking a significant milestone in 2022: five years of supporting progressive Australian charities to drive meaningful change.

Through its charity partners, the Audi Foundation has had a positive impact on over 6 million people across the country.

The Audi Foundation provides funding to not-for-profit organisations that share the same focus to drive progress and create meaningful change in Australian communities.

Since 2017, the Audi Foundation has been delivering support via three core pillars of activity: fuelling progressive approaches to medical technology and treatment, shaping education and career futures (particularly in STEM), and driving positive mental health outcomes.

This dedication to supporting sustainable communities will continue over the next twelve months, with the Audi Foundation committing an additional $1 million in funding through to the end of 2023.

“It is humbling to achieve this milestone in the Foundation’s journey. Delivering $5 million in support in five years is no easy feat and it is a testament to the commitment and generosity of our dealer network, our customers and other supporters across the country,” Mr Paul Sansom, Chairman of the Audi Foundation, said.

“The charity partners that we work with reflect the core progressive values of Audi and help us deliver back to the Australian community, which has been so supportive of our brand over the years.

“I’m excited to think about what we can achieve with our partners in the next five years,” Mr Sansom said.

There are currently eight partners that the Audi Foundation provides funding to:

Country Education Foundation (CEF)
Humpty Dumpty Foundation
ReachOutR U OK?
The Smith Family
Charlie Teo Foundation
Youth Opportunities and
Zephyr Education

The Country Education Foundation of Australia (CEF) helps rural and regional communities support their local school-leavers – and in doing so, invest in the future of rural and regional Australia. With support from the Audi Foundation, the CEF has funded 28 scholarships, worth more than $100,000.

The Humpty Dumpty Foundation is a non-profit organisation formed to purchase vital medical equipment and services for children.

The Audi Foundation is helping Humpty purchase more medical equipment. It is through the partnership with Humpty, that the Audi Foundation can give back to the community and improve health outcomes for children and their families within areas where dealers, employees and clients reside. In the last five years, the Audi Foundation has donated 41 pieces of vital medical equipment to hospitals and health services across Australia.

ReachOut is Australia’s leading digital mental health service for young people and their parents.

The Audi Foundation supports the continual expansion of resources available to ReachOut’s Parent Community, helping them to develop a program that will help parents better help/support their children. Through the Audi Foundation’s support, ReachOut has been able to support close to 300,000 Australians in accessing its services.

R U OK? is a national harm prevention charity that inspires and empowers everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and support anyone struggling with life. The Audi Foundation is supporting the RUOK? Conversation Convoy, which is a road trip around Australia looking to start more life-changing conversations.

The Smith Family is the national children’s education charity, providing young Australians from disadvantaged backgrounds with the extra tools and support they need to succeed at school, so they can create better futures for themselves. The Audi Foundation helps them to drive Work Inspirations to around 2000 students annually.

Charlie Teo Foundation is an Australian charity funding game-changing brain cancer research, with a low-cost model that’s redefining how charities operate. The Audi Foundation has partnered with the Charlie Teo Foundation since 2018 to help change these numbers, providing funding that goes directly towards vital brain cancer research by pioneering scientists thinking outside the box.

Zephyr Education Inc. is an Australian charity that supplies children who have to change schools because of domestic or family violence with uniforms and everything else they need to restart their education as quickly as possible.

They provide support at a critical time in these young lives and because of the partnership with and donations from the Audi Foundation, many more vulnerable children will arrive at their new schools with renewed confidence and with a real opportunity to successfully resume their education.

These partnerships benefit from a close working partnership between Audi Australia and the Audi Australia Dealer Network, with many fundraising and engagement events being held in showrooms right around the country.
